NASA's Time Machine: The James Webb Space Telescope

March 06, 2022 Maryam Hejazi & Vanessa Carias Season 1 Episode 6

Join us in the Science Briefing room for Episode 6 where we learn about NASA's James Webb Space Telescope! It’s been more than 50 years since the first man landed on the moon and human beings started exploring the wonders of space. Since then probes, space stations, and satellites have been sent to space in an attempt to learn more about stars, galaxies, and our universe's origin. In December 2021, NASA successfully launched the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the largest and most powerful space telescope to date!
In this episode, we talked to Dr. Stefanie Milam  NASA's Planetary Scientist, who serves as the James Webb Space Telescope Deputy Project Scientist for Planetary Science. We discuss the goals and plans for the JWST, how the launch went, and learn about how the JWST might unfold the mysteries of the Universe!
